Benefits of Solar Air Conditioners

ImageOne of the greatest benefits to solar energy is that it is 100% free.  Today, companies are coming up with all types of processes and types of equipment that can operate simply by using free energy.  Solar air conditioners are perfect examples, a system that works just like a traditional air conditioning system but without the high cost.  Instead, electricity is created using solar panels, cooling from the solar air conditioning, or warm water from a solar boiler, all being free.

The exciting thing about solar air conditioners is that the sun is an inexhaustible power plant just waiting to be tapped into.  Best of all, the energy from the sun not only works amazing well and it is free, but it is also clean.  Because of this, a person can cool or heat a home without having to worry about toxic gases being released into the atmosphere that would have a negative impact on the environment.

One of the most popular ways to enjoy solar air conditioners is by using panels, which are known as photovoltaic or solar.  These panels operate quietly, they are clean, and they need little care or maintenance.  Now, while there is an upfront investment for the solar panels, they will last about 40 years so it is an investment worth making.  With solar panels, energy can be created for anything or anywhere needed.

For instance, for solar air conditioners, these panels could be installed on the roof, which is the most common location.  As a highly reliable solution due to the photovoltaic effect, the panels are amazing and they have zero moving parts.  With the panels being installed, there is an ongoing supply of DC power.  While a professional should do the installation, the process is simple.

The amount of power solar panels produce would depend on the dimensions.  For example, to get 4.5 amperes at 25 volts, the panels would need to be 125 Wp each.  However, if a person were to install four of these panels, they now find they have 100 volts and much more amperes.  The result is enjoying solar air conditioners, as well as other items in the home that use electricity to include appliances, the heater, and so on.

To help transfer the battery power from the solar panels into working AC current, there are two primary solutions.  First, a regulator would be installed to help to ensure batteries are charged properly.  From there, the DC battery power to an AC current would need to be inverted so appliances in the home, to include solar air conditioners, could be operated.  The regulator is designed to handle any DC to AC transfer, which is known as the “inverter”.

The second solution for getting AC power needed for solar air conditioning and other appliances would be to have a special grid inverter installed.  Again, the result would be the transformation of power from the solar panel to be converted into energy needed.  Now, the grid systems used for solar systems need to be maintained so there is never a power failure.  If the grid should fall below where it needs to be, the individual would immediately experience power outage.  However, the solution is often very simple to correct.

Solar air conditioners can keep a home perfectly comfortable, allowing the homeowner to set the desired temperature just as with traditional central air.  However, in addition to solar, people are also finding methods of capturing motion and wind to run appliances on free energy.  The technology today is amazing, with experts developing more and more new systems to clean up the environment while still providing an affordable solution for everyday life.

Obviously, in addition to solar air conditioners, there are many other advantages to using free solar power.  The greatest of course is the huge financial savings.  Since the fuel source is free, the only real costs comes from the purchase and installation of the solar panels.  Then, since the source is free, the government has no control over the sun so there are no taxes.  In addition, someone who has solar air conditioning from solar panels will find the overall value of the home increases over time.

The number of homeowners looking at solar air conditioners is on the rise.  With so many incredible benefits, it makes perfect sense.  With this, the home can be powered, even if power from other sources should fail.  In other words, someone who uses solar air conditioners and other appliances is non-dependent on traditional energy, putting the homeowner in control.

Before buying just any type of solar panels, the individual needs to determine the purpose and then start putting money aside.  The best course of action is to compare a number of different systems to determine the best one for a person’s particular needs.  This can be done by talking to various solar system companies and then performing research online.  Anyone interested in helping to save the environment, cut costs, and still be able to operate machinery and appliances can do so with solar energy.
